At KiloHills Productions, making documentaries is like going on a cool adventure. We mix awesome stories with creativity to make your story super special. Here's how we do it.
First, we chat a lot about your story. We want to understand it really well. For a documentary about World Relief success stories in Rwanda, we hung out with some of the organization’s beneficiaries to learn more about them. Additionally, we had multiple chats with the organization’s representatives to learn more about their projects.
Before we start filming, we carefully plan everything. We create lists outlining the required shots and engage in conversations with people to ensure a smooth process. In the case of a documentary about a WASH project for VEI, we needed to communicate with local government leaders in VEI’s areas of intervention and secure all necessary permissions.
Now, it's showtime! Armed with fancy cameras and a fantastic team, we're capturing your story. In our documentary highlighting UNCDF’s project in Nyamagabe district, we engaged with the local kids, capturing every fun and special moment around the area.
After filming, we employ our computer magic to piece everything together. It's like solving a puzzle, and we ensure it looks amazing. We have previously crafted 10 documentaries for World Relief Rwanda, illustrating the impact of their Church Empowerment Zones (CEZs). Our editing not only made them super interesting but also easy to understand.
Finally, we present your documentary. It's not just a movie; it's an experience. We've created documentaries that delve into environmental, social issues, education, health and wellness, as well as humanitarian and development subjects. People have learned a lot and expressed a desire to contribute. That's the power of good stories!
